Rock Spyder 4x4 is a fully licensed 4x4 and 4WD off-road shop in Markham, Ontario, serving the Greater Toronto Area. We provide expert service, accessories, and parts for trucks and Jeeps ranging from mild upgrades to extreme custom builds.

Jim MacDonald - Owner & Lead Mechanic


Jim is a seasoned leader in the 4WD industry, bringing over 35 years of hands-on experience to the field. His commitment to professionalism and attention to detail ensure every job is done right the first time.


Well known for his expertise in gears and drivetrains, Jim specializes in differential setup, gear ratios, and complex drivetrain diagnostics and performance upgrades. He has built a strong reputation for solving challenging problems that other shops won’t — or can’t.


Outside the shop, Jim enjoys spending quality time with his family, especially his grandson, Harrison. When the weather cooperates, he looks forward to off-roading adventures and family road trips in their RV.
